Cousin Jack's shirts are cut in 100% cotton, with the practical details of a working shirt: a band collar or a long pointed collar, a back yoke and barrel cuffs. There are two collarless shirts and three spear collar shirts.

What is a collarless shirt?

A collarless shirt, sometimes called a grandad shirt, has a narrow band at the neck instead of a folded collar. Tommy's collarless shirt is the hardwearing, practical kind, with a 3 cm band collar, a patch pocket on the left and a back yoke with an external hanging loop. It comes in mid blue, with white buttons, and in blue ticking stripe with a contrasting plain collar, and both can be machine washed at 30 degrees.

The spear collar shirts

Our spear collar shirts, in stripe, ecru (a fine herringbone weave) and white, have a long, pointed spear point collar (8 cm at the front point) with collar stays and top stitching, a traditional half button front with a 25 cm placket, a V yoke at the back and barrel cuffs. Each is a modern take on a 1930s and 1940s inspired shirt: casual in style, but it will take a tie when you need one.

How to wear them

All five are cut to tuck into high-waisted trousers and sit under a waistcoat or a knitted slipover, with braces if you like. Check the size guide for the chest and collar measurements.
